We are pleased to welcome Dr Iain Mac Labhrainn (MacLaren), the Director of the Centre for Excellence in Learning & Teaching in National University of Ireland, Galway.His teaching and research interests are in a wide range of aspects of physics, computing and education. Winner of two Awards for teaching excellence, the D. Reidel Research Prize in Physics, the Ramsey Memorial Prize in Astrophysics and of the European Academic Software Award (team). His current research interests include: Higher Education policy and practice, The nature of creativity in HE, Learning Technologies and their strategic deployment and Models of Learning.
